Paddle Out Protest

If you’re keen on action for the environment, Paddle-Out ’26 at Whitmore Bay on May 16 is rallying people nationwide to demand an end to sewage pollution in our waterways. Organisers say: “land-based photo moments will be a key part of the Paddle-Out allowing those who love the water but don’t feel confident to paddle can still be seen, heard, and part of the change.” Join them for an afternoon of collective campaigning.

Needle Felt Workshop

Crafters can get hands-on at the Needle felt 3D bumble bee workshop at Highlight Park Community Centre. Participants will learn needle felting from scratch, sculpting and detailing their own bees in a relaxed session with all materials, tea, and biscuits provided. These workshops organised by Craftygrimsby are relaxed and friendly. They happily encourage beginners to all of their workshops currently, although some are easier to start with than others. It costs £40 per person and takes place on May 16, from 10am to 1pm.
