Four people fled the scene of a car crash in the early hours of Thursday after their car caught fire.
South Wales Police said they are making inquiries to identify the occupants.
Emergency services responded to reports of a two-car collision in Ocean Way in the Splott area of the city shortly after 3am on Thursday, March 19. For the biggest stories in Wales first sign up to our daily newsletter here.
The road was closed for several hours in both directions between Rover Way roundabout and Ocean Way/Ffordd Ewart Parkinson roundabout.
A spokesman from South Wales Police said: “A collision involving two vehicles occurred on Ocean Way just after 3am on Thursday, March 19.
“Four occupants of one of the cars which caught fire following the collision made off from the scene and inquiries are ongoing to identify them.
“The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.”
On Thursday morning, Traffic monitoring service Inrix said: “There is queueing traffic due to accident and car fire between Rover Way and A4232 Ffordd Ewart Parkinson.”
