Two people have been taken to hospital after a bus left a busy road and collided with a road sign. The incident took place on Newport Road in Cardiff just before midday and resulted in considerable disruption in the area.

A police statement reads: “South Wales Police was called at 11.53am on Monday, April 6 to a bus having left the road and collided with a road sign on Newport Road, Cardiff. Two people have been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
