James Wroblewski, 36, of Wordsworth Avenue in Penarth, was charged with a series of offences from March 26.
It was alleged that Wroblewski driving a Volvo XC60 on that date in Cardiff otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without a valid insurance policy.
The defendant was also accused of failing to provide a sample of blood to the police for analysis.
Wroblewski pleaded guilty to each of the three offences at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on March 28.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Wroblewski was bailed and made the subject of an interim disqualification, and will return to court to be sentenced on April 24.
