Big Easter Event
The Big Easter Event 2025 at Amelia Trust Farm brings five days of an Easter extravaganza. Enjoy meeting animals, woodland walks, chocolate prizes for children who finish the Easter trail, tractor rides (weather permitting), face painting, colouring corner, lawn games and a meeting with the Easter Bunny. There’s food and drink available at the Green Leaf Café. Tickets are £9.50 per child, £6.90 per adult, and children under 2 go free. The event takes place from April 14 to April 18, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Women’s Walk
The South Wales Autistic Women April Walk from the Cold Knap is a friendly get-together for a relaxed 6km stroll from Cold Knap to Barry Island and back. Exclusively for autistic women, it offers ‘a peaceful, adult-only space’ and includes a refreshment stop. Weather-appropriate clothing and comfy shoes are recommended. Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome. The walk starts at the Cold Knap car park on April 12 at 11am.
Folk Music Concert
‘Thank Folk it’s Friday’ with Pat Smith and Ned Clamp at Coaltrain’s Coffee Shop and Gallery features ‘energetic old Skool Folkery’ with live music, including vocals, concertina, spoons, guitar and harmonica. The event is free entry, though organisers say that “donations to the musicians involved is essential in keeping our live events going”. It’s a small venue, so seats are limited. The performance starts on April 10 at 11am.

Bowling Club Open Day
Barry Romilly Bowling Club Opening Day welcomes new and existing members to launch their 2026 season. New members under 40 can claim a free first year’s membership, and you only need flat shoes or trainers to join in the fun. The event will be held at Barry Bowling Club on April 11 at 2pm.
