Access to the properties will be via the existing internal staircase, with new galvanised external stairs added to the rear of the building.

The application states that the only proposed external change to the building is the addition of the external staircase.

Plans have been submitted for the installation of conservation-style flush rooflight windows at 36 Park Road, Barry.
The development forms part of previously approved loft improvements under application 2025/00324/FUL.
The proposed windows are described as a modest and sympathetic addition that will not alter the roof’s form, pitch, height, or overall design.
The application notes that similar rooflights are already present on neighbouring properties and that the proposal will preserve the building’s architectural character.
