Ymunwch â Chomisiynydd Pobl Hŷn Cymru ac arbenigwyr eraill mewn gweminar a fydd yn canolbwyntio ar effaith OEDRANIAETH DDIGIDOL a’r camau gweithredu sydd angen eu cymryd i fynd i’r afael â’r mater hwn sy’n prysur gynyddu.
Mae anfantais, rhagfarn a stereoteipio ar sail oedran mewn cyd-destunau digidol – sy’n digwydd ar lwyfannau sydd wedi’u dylunio’n wael neu systemau deallusrwydd artiffisial rhagfarnllyd, er enghraifft – yn creu rhwystrau mewn sawl agwedd ar fywydau pobl hŷn, gan gynnwys cael gafael ar wasanaethau, recriwtio a chyflogaeth, cyfleoedd i ddysgu, yn ogystal â gweithgareddau cymdeithasol hyd yn oed.
Yn y pen draw, mae oedraniaeth ddigidol yn golygu bod pobl hŷn mewn perygl sylweddol o gael eu heithrio’n ehangach, fel y mae adroddiad diweddar y Comisiynydd ar y mater hwn yn ei ddangos.
Dyna pam ei bod yn hanfodol ein bod yn cymryd camau gweithredu gyda’n gilydd i atal oedraniaeth ddigidol ac i fynd i’r afael â’r anghydraddoldeb peryglus sydd eisoes yn digwydd er mwyn sicrhau bod hawliau pobl hŷn yn cael eu gwarchod.

| TACKLING DIGITAL AGEISM IN WALES: PROTECTING RIGHTS, ACCESS AND INCLUSION

Join the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales and other expert speakers for a webinar to explore the impact of DIGITAL AGEISM and the action needed to address this rapidly growing issue.
Age-based disadvantage, prejudice and stereotyping within digital contexts – manifested through poorly designed platforms or biased AI systems, for example – create barriers in many aspects of older people’s lives, including accessing services, recruitment and employment, learning opportunities and even social activities.
Ultimately, digital ageism leaves older people at significant risk of wider exclusion, as highlighted in the Commissioner’s recent report on this issue.
That’s why it’s crucial we take action together to prevent digital ageism and tackle the dangerous inequality that is already arising from it to ensure older people’s rights are protected.
