It will be a full day event starting with a parade followed by a schedule of entertainment – here is everything you need to know
Swansea Pride is set for its 2026 return with a parade and day of entertainment planned. The event is being put on by the same-named volunteer-led charity that works to promote the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion or ability.
Taking place on Saturday, May 16, the free event will feature a parade starting from Wind Street, with a route taking those assembled through the city centre, along Oxford Street and St. Helen’s Road to the Guildhall.
Road closures
A short rolling road closure will be in place from 10.30am until 12.30pm from Wind Street to Oxford Street to St Helen’s Road. Never miss a Swansea story by signing up to our newsletter here.
Once the parade reaches the Guildhall, there will be a day of entertainment from noon until 7pm.
Who is performing?
The event will be hosted by Ruby Slippers, Jamie J, Tallulah Bandersnatch, Aluna Tick, Chae with a C, Zoe, Jake, Bitchelle Flowers, Jay and Eden Goode.
Performing on the day will be Donna Marie as Lady GagaTrue Colours Choir, Lywis, Jessica Rarebit, Jordropper, and Wayne King.
Also taking to the stage will be Brooke Darci, Khloe Buttlift, Rikki Withers, Justin Drag, Will Whitehead, Taylor Marc’s and Gypsy Divine.
Swansea Amateur Operatic Society will present ‘We Will Rock You’, whilst Kara Von Site, Ben Bateman, and Emi will also perform.
Getting to the event
Organisers say there are regular buses from Swansea Bus Station to the Guildhall and Oystermouth Road (The Slip).
They say: “From Swansea Train Station take the Number 4 which will take you to the Slip Bus Stop on Oystermouth Road which is a short walk to the Guildhall.”
Parking
Parking is available in Baths car park, St Helen’s Road and recreation ground, Oystermouth Road. There is also on-street parking available in the surrounding area
Accessibility
Organisers say there will be an accessible viewing platform, and advises anyone who wishes to use it to visit its information tent to collect a wristband. Space will be available on a first come, first served basis.
