The Strictly Come Dancing favourite will be moving from the dance floor to the front of the stage this year as he joins Emma Willis, 50, and Josh Widdicombe, 43, as co-hosts for the upcoming series.
Despite the new role, Mr Radebe has reassured fans that he will still be performing.
Johannes Radebe confirms he’ll keep dancing on Strictly
Mr Radebe said: “The question I’m getting asked the most is, ‘Are you not going to dance any more?’
“Now listen, I’m not hanging up my dancing shoes yet.
“I will definitely be throwing some shapes and moving my hips – I can’t not, that’s my life.
“For it to be just taken away would be a travesty for me.
“There’s a plan in action, that’s all I’m going to say.
“You’re going to see JoJo.”
The 39-year-old has been part of Strictly since 2018 and is believed to have secured the presenting role after auditions that also included Zoe Ball, 55, and Sara Cox, 51.
Vincent Simone, a former Strictly professional who left the show in 2012, admitted he was initially concerned about the announcement.
Mr Simone said: “I was surprised about Johannes because audiences love him as a dancer.
“My first reaction was, ‘Oh no, that means we won’t see him as a professional dancer anymore.’
“I really loved the way he treated his celebrities, his choreography and his dancing.
“He’s good at it, so I didn’t expect them to take him off the dance floor yet.”
Despite his concerns, Mr Simone supports the decision.
He said: “Johannes knows all the pros; he knows the environment, and he comes across as such a lovely person every year.
“His celebrities absolutely adore him, so I think it’s good to have a professional involved in presenting the show.”
Mr Radebe has described the new role as a dream come true.
He said: “To be returning to Strictly Come Dancing in this new role is beyond anything I ever imagined.
