The family of Dominic Luke Bailey say they are ‘devastated’ by his death

Tributes have been paid to an A-level student who “could put a smile on anyone’s face” after he was killed in a crash in Cardiff.
Dominic Luke Bailey, who was 18 and from Ely in Cardiff, died at at the scene of a collision in an area known as The Tumble on the A48 at around 8pm on Saturday night.
The crash involved a grey MG and a black Land Rover Defender.
Two other people – a 59-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man from Bonvilston, Vale of Glamorgan, who were in the Land Rover – were injured and remain in hospital three days after the crash.

The family said: “Dominic was finishing his A-level exams at the Bishop of Llandaff High School where he had been a pupil for the past seven years.
“He had been offered a place at University of Malaysia but decided to follow his dreams of seeing the world and go travelling instead.
“There was no one quite like Dominic.
“He could put a smile on anyone’s face.
“He was such a clever young man who had his whole life ahead of him.
“The family is devastated.
“Life will never be the same again without him.”
South Wales Police is appealing for any witnesses who saw the collision or witnessed the manner of driving of both cars prior to the collision to come forward.
Officers are urging anyone travelling through the area at the time to check their dashcams and private CCTV for relevant footage.
