Two police officers taken to hospital after crash on rural road

A Toyota police car was the only vehicle involved in a collision which happened during the early hours of the morning

Two police officers were injured and taken to hospital after their car crashed on a rural road in the middle of the night. The collision happened on a section of the A483 in Powys during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police were called to the scene after a Toyota police car, containing two officers, was involved in the single-vehicle crash.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “We received a report of a single-vehicle collision on the A483, between Camnant and Dolfor, at around 3:30am on Sunday 28 June.

“The road was closed whilst the vehicle, a Toyota police car, was recovered.

“The Ambulance Service attended and two officers were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life threatening, before being later released.

“The vehicle was recovered and the road re-opened at around 6:30am.”
