Drivers travelling on the M48 Severn bridge eastbound are facing long delays after all traffic was held due to a crash. Emergency services are in attendance, with Gwent Police asking the public to avoid the area if possible.
The road remains partially blocked at this time.
Gwent Police said: “We’re currently dealing with a road traffic collision on Eastbound on the Severn bridge M48 Junction 2 to Junction 1. Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes for your journey.”
The incident has been ongoing since around 6.30am.
