Crystal Light, 26, of Cei Tir Y Castell, appeared before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court where she pleaded guilty to assault by beating.
The court heard that on July 12, she assaulted the victim.
Light admitted the offence at her first hearing on July 14.
Magistrates sentenced her to a £484 fine, taking into account her guilty plea.
She was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs and a victim surcharge of £194.
A collection order was made requiring the financial penalties to be paid in monthly instalments of £50, beginning on August 11.
The total financial penalty imposed by the court amounted to £763.
A second assault by beating charge relating to the same victim and date was also before the court.
Having accepted guilty pleas, magistrates imposed no separate penalty for that offence.
