Cowbridge entrepreneur finalist in national competition

by David Jones

Polly from Cowbridge is representing the Vale in GoHenry’s Dream Big contest, which celebrates the creativity and ambition of young people aged six to 18 across the UK.

She was recognised in the KIDPRENEUR category for her business, The Bedazzle Bar, which she launched with three friends to decorate dance and gymnastics accessories.

Polly said: “We are so excited to be finalists.

“As a new business, £1,000 will really help us invest in more stock and do more events.

“We all live and breathe dancing and gymnastics so this business was an easy idea for us and we are absolutely loving bedazzling everything.”

Stephanie, Polly’s mother, said: “I’m so proud of Polly and the girls.

“They pitched their ideas to us one evening and we just couldn’t say no to making that initial investment for them to get them started.

“The products they have made are beautiful and their first event last week was a sell-out.

“Winning 1,000 will really help them grow this business and I can’t wait to watch them flourish.”

The public can vote for Polly through the GoHenry website.
