Where to start! – We can offer allsorts

We are based at Aberaeron Hub, Aberaeron Close, Barry

Every Monday morning we hold sessions starting at 10am and finishing about 12.30.

Once a month I offer an afternoon session 1pm to 3pm (for individuals or small groups that are wanting to learn similar things) – this can be anything from setting up a device, sorting out emails, scam awareness, accessibility awareness, How to use Google including its office suite, or Microsoft Office, we have a new team member who is well versed in the use of AI. The list is endless.

If you have members who want to become Digital Buddies, we can support them in the training with ongoing support, they would have access to all our material to date which is constantly evolving and they would have an input into that which would be shared with the rest of the team.

We are unable to support financially as we are not a constituted group.

Most of our team members unfortunately do not drive as a result. Should you wish one of us to attend a meeting then transport would have to be sourced from yourselves.

On the odd occasion we will be given a laptop, that will then be forwarded to someone in need. We are lucky to have a qualified team member that clears laptops, pc’s etc prior to them being gifted.

I post to our facebook as much as time allows, the latest scam information from the police or Report Fraud have priority, but we also post about visitors and invite everyone to those.

On our page is our story on how we evolved to being Digital Buddies but the short story is we were called Digital Champions, but were getting confused with the Champions that volunteered in the Libraries, hence the name change.

We have been going since 2017, so we are not new.
