Emergency services were called to the scene of a crash late on Tuesday evening
A man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car, police said. Emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian on the the A4058 Tyntyla Road, Pentre, on Tuesday evening.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries. The road was closed at around 9pm in both directions between Penrhys Road and Sherwood Street.
Motorists were told to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible during the road closure. The road reopened shortly before 11pm.
Police say their investigation into the incident remains ongoing. A police spokesperson said: “South Wales Police was called at 9.20pm on Tuesday August 25 to reports of a man being hit by a car on Tyntyla Road in Pentre.
“The man was taken to hospital with his injuries and investigations into the incident are ongoing.”
