Police have said they will be attending a protest this weekend in order to ensure the safety of those attending. A dispersal order is in effect in the area where the protest is taking place.
South Wales Police have said they have been made aware of a protest in Aberaman, near Aberdare, on Saturday evening. A police presence will be in place for the protest, which is said to be regarding an individual living in the village who will not be present at the time of the protest.
A spokesperson from South Wales Police said: “We are aware of a protest planned in Aberaman this evening.
“The individual subject of the protest will not be at the noted address, and a policing presence will be on hand to ensure the safety of those involved in the protest.”
A section 34 disperal order is in effect between 5pm on Saturday and 4pm on Monday.
