Who is Michael Sheen?
Born on February 5, 1969, in Newport, Sheen is the only son of Irene Thomas and Meyrick Sheen.
He grew up in Port Talbot, where he now lives with his family.
As a young man, he turned down the chance to pursue a possible professional football career, according to IMDb.
Instead, he followed actors Daniel Day-Lewis and Patrick Stewart by attending the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School rather than university.
While studying, Sheen won a key role opposite Vanessa Redgrave in Martin Sherman’s When She Danced in 1991.
He left school early to make his West End debut and has since gone on to forge a successful career in film, television and theatre.

“His Hamlet at the Young Vic solidified his reputation as one of the most compelling actors of his generation, and his portrayal of David Frost in Frost/Nixon at the Donmar Warehouse, a role he reprised on Broadway, earned him a fourth Olivier nomination.
“In 2011, he co-directed and starred in The Passion, a 72-hour performance in his hometown of Port Talbot.”
He is also the founder and Artistic Director of the Welsh National Theatre.

Sheen’s current partner is Swedish actress Anna Lundberg, whom he has been with since 2019.
The couple has two children:
