Customers with an Asda Delivery Pass can secure their slot
Asda has opened Christmas home delivery slots. The supermarket says it wants to help customers be well prepared for groceries as the festive season approaches.
To access the newly opened slots, you will need to have an Asda Delivery Pass. The membership removes one-off delivery and collection charges all year round and starts at £3.95 per month. Members will be able to book slots to guarantee home delivery right up until December 23.
Slots will then open to all customers from next Tuesday, meaning members have a week’s worth of priority. Asda say customers will even have the chance to make changes to their order until 11pm the night before their delivery in case there’s a need for last-minute changes.
It hasn’t been confirmed how many slots will be available to book ahead of the Christmas period but Asda has given guidance on how to secure yours. They say customers need to add ‘food to order’ items to their trolley and complete the check-out process to ensure your slot saves.
This doesn’t need to be your final order given the rules that allow for late changes. Late last month Tesco announced it was releasing 60,000 home delivery or click and collect slots for the Christmas period.
It was reported that Customers must sign up by 11.59pm on November 2 to get priority Christmas slot access. Morrisons recently confirmed shoppers will be able to book festive slots covering December 18 – December 31 where previously it was only from December 20-24.
Shoppers have been urged to visit the Christmas section of Asda’s website to find out more. The site even includes a guide on how to cook ‘the perfect Christmas turkey’.
