The incident happened when Max Eveleigh, 21, had a collision whilst at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf on Hood Road on Sunday, February 22.
At Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, he was disqualified from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to failing to stop after a road accident.
He also admitted failing to report that accident.
Eveleigh, of Heol Pantycellys, Barry was ordered to pay £253 after he was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
