Seasoned, the debut single and video from Barry-based duo No Apologies Club, won three Awards of Merit at the August 2026 Accolade Global Film Competition, including honours for Music Video, Editing, and Women Filmmakers.
The competition, based in California, celebrates achievement in craft and storytelling across film, television, and media.
Rebecca Hardy, who directed and edited the video, said: “We’re genuinely gobsmacked.

“This was our first single and the first music video we’d ever made.
“To get recognition in three categories feels completely bonkers and incredibly lovely.”
Seasoned was produced and directed by No Apologies Club members Nia Medi and Rebecca Hardy and filmed at New Farm in Barry.
Rebecca’s editing work also earned her the separate Award of Merit for Editing.
Ms Medi said: “It makes it even more special that the whole thing was made within our own community.
“The crew were all local to Barry and South Wales, and people just brought their skills, energy and enthusiasm to it.”
The team included Daniel Coughtrey (camera), Ellie Locking (make-up design), and Maxine Howells (photography).
The band also thanked Sara and Ian Hardy, owners of New Farm, for supporting the project.
Ms Medi said: “I actually met Sara while strength training at Brawd, my local gym.
“I knew she was a farmer, so I asked her, ‘Do you have a barn?’ She looked at me and said, ‘Of course I’ve got a barn, I’m a farmer. ‘I’ve got three.’

“And that was basically the beginning of the video and, wonderfully, a new friendship too.”
No Apologies Club describes their music as being rooted in storytelling with a 90s indie and Britpop influence.
They said: “We started this because we loved it.
“The fact that something we made with friends, on a farm down the road, has now been recognised internationally is pretty special.
“And it makes us even more excited about what comes next.”
The duo plan to release their second single in October 2026.
