Alan Carter, 51, of Caernarvon Gardens, Barry pleaded guilty to sharing a photo of person in an intimate state to “cause alarm distress or humiliation”.
Nicholas Evans, prosecuting, told Cardiff Magistrates’ Court that the offence took place last September.
The defendant was jailed for 20 weeks with the sentence suspended for 12 months.
He must complete a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement as well as pay a £154 surcharge and £85 costs.
