Barry man cleared of being in car when over ‘cannabis’ limit

Josh McSheehy, 20, of Winston Road, Barry was cleared following a trial at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

The case related to an incident on January 7 in Crossways Street, Barry involving a Ford Fiesta.

Prosecutors alleged that the proportion of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) detected in his blood was 2.9 micrograms per litre, above the prescribed legal threshold.

Mr McSheehy had denied any wrongdoing after he pleaded not guilty

The case against him was dismissed.

The prosecution was conducted by Denise Osei while Angelo Gooden represented the defence.
