Barry man sentenced after he breaches restraining order

by martyn jones

Franky Dymott, 50, of Main Street, Barry defied the restraining order on April 10 in Cardiff just over a month after it was imposed.

At Newport Magistrates’ Court, he was jailed for eight weeks, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £85 costs after he pleaded guilty to the offence.

On March 2, at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, he had been sentenced to a community order and a restraining order, both to run for 18 months.

That was after he admitted possession of an offensive weapon – a hammer – in a public place and a public order offence.

Dymott was ordered to carry out 140 hours of unpaid work and complete a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
