The six defendants were accused of speeding, driving without a licence or insurance, keeping an untaxed vehicle, and failing to comply with a Statutory Off Road Notification.
Their cases were heard in the magistrates’ courts in Cardiff, Swansea, Northampton, and Bradford.
Here’s a round-up of the cases.
Craig Crosbie, 58, of Portland Drive in Barry, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 20mph speed limit.
Crosbie was sentenced to pay a £40 fine, £120 in costs, and a £16 surcharge. Cardiff Magistrates’ Court also ordered on February 23 the defendant to receive three points on his licence.
Thomas Morgan, 43, of Barry Road in Barry, was caught driving without a licence or insurance.
Morgan pleaded guilty to both offences, and had eight points added to his licence. He was also sentenced to pay a £120 fine, £120 in costs, and a £48 surcharge at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on February 27.
Craig Sansome, of Glan Y Mor in Barry, was fined £220 for keeping an untaxed vehicle.
At Northampton Magistrates’ Court on February 25, Sansome was also ordered to pay £57.50 in back duty and £85 in costs.
Andrew Ogston-Price, 38, of Gradon Close in Barry, was caught speeding in a 30mph limit.
Ogston-Price pleaded guilty and had five points added to his licence at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on February 26. He must also pay a £215 fine, £120 in costs, and a surcharge of £86.
Prof Christopher Bryan Harris, of The Parade in Barry, was fined £220 for failing to comply with a Statutory Off Road Notification.
On February 25, Harris was sentenced to pay a £220 fine and £85 in costs. Bradford Magistrates’ Court also ordered the defendant to pay £126.67 in back duty.
Ceri Martin Stokes, of Port Road East in Barry, must pay £86.25 in back duty after keeping an untaxed vehicle.
Stokes was fined £220 on February 25 at Bradford Magistrates’ Court and must pay £85 in costs.
