Launched by Barry artist Michael Goode, the Art Dept, or Adran Gelf, project offers workshops in drawing, painting, printmaking, jewellery, and textiles across the Vale of Glamorgan.
Mr Goode said: “After working for the Arts Council of Wales for a number of years, creating my own prints, drawings and also running workshops in Welsh and English in both Cardiff and the Vale, I wanted to share this experience with others artists, and provide opportunities to the public to be creative, learn new skills and techniques.”
The workshops are led by a variety of artists, including members of the Vale Arts Collective and other established creatives from the area.
The programme begins with a monoprinting session at the Lower Penarth Community Centre on October 24, exploring a printmaking technique focused on colour and line.
Cardiff artist and printmaker Sophie Buckingham will run an enamelling workshop to create pendant jewellery at Lee Hall in Dinas Powys on October 30.

Penarth-based artist Sasha Kingston will lead a session on experimental mixed media and book-making using inks, paints, collage, and mark-making on November 7 at Lower Penarth Community Centre.
Ms Kingston said: “My workshops will explore drawing and experimental mixed media in creative workshops, where curiosity leads the way & has no limits.”
Michael Goode and Sasha Kingston will also host a drop-in workshop creating Christmas decorations and bookmarks at Lee Hall on December 19.
Additional sessions in batik and printed textiles are planned for the coming weeks.
Workshops are open to anyone aged 14 and above, though space is limited depending on the location and technique.
Mr Goode has delivered creative workshops for 25 years through organisations including the Urdd, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Menter Bro Morgannwg, and Amgueddfa Cymru.
