Calling former Johnsons Dry Cleaners workers in Penarth

Mrs Susan White worked at Johnsons Dry Cleaners, Glebe Road, from the 1980s until 2012 and believes she inhaled asbestos fibres while working in and around the shop’s cellar and boiler room.

Her solicitor, Helen Grady, a mesothelioma specialist with Amicus Law, said Susan recalls regular trips into a “dusty” cellar to collect bags of material and having to enter the boiler house to operate and adjust the heating, where asbestos-containing materials were allegedly present.

In around 2004, Susan remembers contractors in full protective clothing and air-fed masks carrying out asbestos removal in the cellar and boiler area behind plastic sheeting, while staff continued working nearby after being told it was safe.

Mrs White is now urging anyone who worked at the Glebe Road branch over the same period, and who remembers the dusty cellar, boiler house or asbestos removal work, to get in touch to help support her legal case.

Witnesses are asked to contact Ms Grady in confidence on 01278 664 064 or by emailing helen.grady@amicuslaw.co.uk.
