“Seeing our community come together to support Marie Curie through food, generosity, and kindness was incredibly special for all of us at Base Camp.
“Hospitality is a very challenging industry, especially in the current climate, and we chose to take on one of the most challenging locations in Cardiff.
“We are incredibly proud to say that we have helped bring life back to 29 Park Place through passion, hard work, and the support of our community.
“Stories and encouragement from our local newspapers and media genuinely inspire independent businesses like ours to keep pushing forward, to do more for the community, and to go beyond our limits.
“Support from local people and local media means a great deal to us.”
Base Camp Indian Kitchen was founded to bring authentic Himalayan and Indian hospitality to Cardiff, drawing culinary inspiration from the mountains of Nepal to the coastal regions of India.
Mr Sapkota, who was born and raised in Nepal, moved to the UK to pursue a career in hospitality and now uses his restaurant to share the food, warmth, and culture that have shaped his journey.
