Cardiff Bus announces timetable overhaul that will affect key routes

by Martyn Jones

Changes will be made due to changes in traffic conditions across the city

Cardiff Bus has announced changes to a number of its services from next month. From Sunday, April 12 there will be extra journeys added to services across the city as well as timetable changes and amendments to some routes.

The changes are aimed at improving the frequency and capacity of weekday morning buses from Pontprennau, Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn to the city centre. Further morning journeys will allow passengers to arrive in the city centre between 7am and 9am throughout the week.

The bus operator is adding extra morning journeys to the 57 and 58 services during peak times benefiting benefit people commuting, studying or travelling to school from Pontprennau, Pentwyn and Llanedeyrn into Cardiff city centre.

These changes will see 14 arrivals into the city centre between 7am and 9am. Never miss a Cardiff story bysigning up to our daily newsletter here

For route 7 a minor amendment will be made to the stops on this service as it will no longer be stopping at KD in Westgate Street in the city centre, stopping at KG instead.

A minor amendment will also be made to the stops on the route 9 service, no longer stopping at KD in Westgate Street in the city centre, stopping at KG instead.

This route will also have a revised timetable to better reflect the time some journeys need due to changes in traffic conditions.

Services 11 and 27 will have revised timetables along with routes 62, 63, 64 and 136.

Cardiff Bus has advised customers to check updated timetables in advance.
