Transport for Wales has advised passengers to allow extra time on Sunday due to the Cardiff Half Marathon, with large crowds expected before and after the event.
More than 30,000 people are set to take part in the sold-out Cardiff Half Marathon, which starts at 10am on Sunday, October 4, from Castle Street.
Transport for Wales said: “Running the #CardiffHalf this Sunday?
“We’re adding extra capacity, but trains are expected to be very busy before and after the event.
“If you’re spectating, consider travelling later.
“A queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central from 12:00.”
Extra trains will run, but services are still expected to be crowded before and after the race.
Passengers should allow extra time and expect busier stations and trains before and after the event.
Spectators travelling to Cardiff should consider arriving later to avoid the busiest periods.
