Ceramic Workshop

The Ceramic Sculpture Workshop for beginners at The Gathering Place, St Athan promises ‘relaxing, mindful creativity in a friendly environment.’ All equipment and aprons are provided, and you’ll craft your own Welsh lady under fully guided tuition. Items will be fired and glazed for you, to collect later two weeks later. The class, for ages 12 and up (with adults), costs £40 and runs on May 23 from 10am.

Folk Gig

‘Thank Folk it’s Friday’ brings Jane Williams and Thomasin Toohie to Coaltrains Coffee Shop for a morning of folky originals and covers, performed on cornet, flute, harp and vocals. The gig is free entry though donations to the musicians involved is essential in keeping their live events going. There is limited capacity at the venue so early attendance is advised. Drop by on May 22 from 11am.

Bingo Bash

For a twist on tradition, Bingo Bash at Goodsheds offers ‘big games, epic prizes, and all the vibes you could ask for.’ Five thrilling rounds, plenty of food and drink, and laughter are all on offer for £5. Over-18s only, with doors opening May 22 from 6.30pm.

Hairstyling Workshop

Pints & Ponytails at Vanity Studio on Windsor Road is a chill masterclass for dads and father figures, offering a laid-back introduction to basic hair styling – plus cold beers and a goodie bag with tools to take home. All styling is on doll heads provided. Join the fun on May 24 from 4pm.
