The supermarket is offering a free breakfast throughout the school holidays from May 25
Children can tuck into a complimentary breakfast every day of the half-term holiday at a leading supermarket. Morrisons’ free breakfast clubs are returning on Monday, May 25, ready for the upcoming school break, with the café promotion running across the country.
Morrisons is relaunching the Kellogg’s ‘Breakfast Clubs’ to provide a free breakfast for adults and children throughout the school holidays. According to the supermarket, families can choose from Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, served with dairy or non-dairy milk, plus a free apple or banana.
The promotion is available at Cafés throughout the country, operating during every school holiday this year in England, Scotland and Wales. The upcoming dates run from May 25 to May 31, and the offer can be claimed all day, from Monday to Sunday.
The supermarket says customers can claim the offer by ordering a Kellogg’s Breakfast at the till point at any UK Morrisons Café. There’s a limit of one breakfast per customer per day, reports the Mirror.
Shoppers may also want to take advantage of the Morrisons Kids Eat Free offer. It gives families a complimentary meal and a free drink for one child aged 16 or under when they purchase an adult meal over £5.
The deal gets customers one free kids meal from the Birds Eye kids menu. The offer includes a main meal, a side, a choice of vegetables and a drink.
Shoppers can choose from four Birds Eye chicken dippers, three Birds Eye fish fingers, two sausages, two veggie sausages or Goodfella’s mini margherita pizza. The mix-and-match meal usually costs £4.
Adults can purchase two adult meals and two refillable drinks for £15 from 12pm daily. The meal options include ham, egg and chips or bangers, mash, garden peas and gravy.
According to research from Kellogg’s and Morrisons, one in three parents struggles to feed their children during the school holidays. The number rises to two in five among parents aged 25–34.
Eight in ten parents said they have worried about their food lasting until their next grocery shop during the break, and 77 per cent report spending more on food during school holidays.
Matt Khan, Senior Trader for Morrisons Café, said: “We know the school holidays can bring extra pressures for families, from food costs to keeping routines in place. We’re here to help by opening our Café spaces up for Breakfast Clubs to give families a chance to enjoy a simple, balanced breakfast together while continuing to offer our popular Kids Eat Free deal year round.”
