Let’s talk about life in the Vale<\/h3>\n

We are inviting you to take part in our latest Vale-wide survey, Let\u2019s Talk about Life in the Vale. This is the second large-scale residents\u2019 survey we have carried out, following the one held in autumn 2023 in which more than 4,000 people shared their experiences and views.<\/p>\n

The findings from that survey directly informed the Council\u2019s\u00a0new Corporate Plan, Vale 2030.<\/a><\/p>\n

Through this year\u2019s survey, we want to build on that work and once again hear from as many people as possible about their experiences of living and working in the Vale of Glamorgan.<\/p>\n

All responses will be processed and analysed independently by Data Cymru. The findings will then be presented to our Cabinet, Committees, Full Council and our partners to inform our work and priorities in the future.<\/p>\n

There are properties across the county that have been left vacant for a long time, while many individuals and families wait for a suitable place to live. As part of our commitment to improving housing availability and supporting local communities, the Vale of Glamorgan Council is reviewing its approach to tackling long-term empty properties.<\/p>\n

Following our community engagement last October, we\u2019re excited to propose upgrades to the play area and surrounding open space near Conybeare Road, funded by the new Gwel Yr Ynys housing development (Section 106 funding).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
