The British Society for Gerontology (BSG) Special Interest Group (SIG) on Ageism focuses on strengthening the links between research, policy and practice to improve understanding of ageism and its impacts, and to identify and promote effective interventions to combat ageism.\u00a0The SIG is a forum for the exchange of ideas, learning and opportunities, connecting people with a passion to end ageism.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Group look at the variety of manifestations of ageism including internalised and self-directed ageism, and intersectional dimensions to ageism. We\u2019re interested in how ageism is embedded and expressed in policy and practice and what interventions are effective to tackle it.<\/div>\n
