{"id":158434,"date":"2026-05-19T14:31:20","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:31:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vale50plus.org\/clone\/ty-hafan-opening-its-gardens-as-rare-chance-is-given\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T14:31:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T14:31:20","slug":"ty-hafan-opening-its-gardens-as-rare-chance-is-given","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vale50plus.org\/clone\/ty-hafan-opening-its-gardens-as-rare-chance-is-given\/","title":{"rendered":"Ty Hafan opening its gardens as rare chance is given"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"subscription-content\">\n<p>\n  T\u0177 Hafan Children\u2019s Hospice in Sully will welcome visitors on Saturday, June 13, to explore its tranquil grounds as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The event promises a rare glimpse of the gardens, which are normally reserved for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Rachel Ritter, head of fundraising for T\u0177 Hafan, said: &#8220;This is a rare chance for members of the public to spend time in a very beautiful place that means so much to the children with life-shortening conditions and their families we support.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;When a child\u2019s life will be short, every moment matters. That\u2019s why spaces for joy, reflection and togetherness are so important.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;So as well as enjoying our beautiful gardens, this open day will also provide an opportunity for visitors to find out a little more about what T\u0177 Hafan does and why.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Set against the Bristol Channel, the gardens are designed to offer peace and comfort to all who spend time there.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They feature a wide variety of flowers including roses and peonies, along with fruit trees and shrubs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Volunteer gardener Kaye said: &#8220;I love being in the garden it really is a beautiful place.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;I also feel that I am doing my part to support the hospice and enjoy seeing the staff and families walking around seeing our work.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;It\u2019s an honour to be included in the National Open Gardens Scheme this year and it will be nice to let more people see this lovely place by the sea.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The gardens will be open from 10am to 2pm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Admission is \u00a35 per adult, with children under 16 free.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance via the National Open Gardens Scheme website.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.penarthtimes.co.uk\/news\/26118169.ty-hafan-opening-gardens-rare-chance-given\/?ref=rss\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>T\u0177 Hafan Children\u2019s Hospice in Sully will welcome visitors on Saturday, June 13, to explore its tranquil grounds as part of the National Open Gardens Scheme.
