Dave Miller is stepping down, though remaining a life member and intending to support from the sidelines.
Known for his dedication, Mr. Miller has forged many friendships throughout his tenure.
He was part of a team that clinched the Munro Cup for three consecutive years in the late ’80s.
Under his watchful eye, the club climbed from the sixth to the third division in the Cardiff and District League.
Mr. Miller’s love for the sport started in the 1970s when he served as the Belle Vue park keeper.
Mr. Miller planted a sapling 50 years ago in Belle Vue Park and it is still there today.
In a statement, Belle Vue Bowls Club said: “All at Belle Vue Bowls thank him for his support, expertise and friendship.
“We wish Dave all the best for the future and look forward to seeing him when he comes to support the players.”
