Police and paramedics responded to an incident in a city suburb tonight. Leckwith Road in Canton, Cardiff was closed between Wellington Street and Cowbridge Road East before 5pm as South Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service rushed to the scene.

A spokesman for South Wales Police shared at the time: “South Wales Police officers are currently at the scene of an incident on Earle Place in Canton.
“There is currently a road closure in place on Leckwith Road between Wellington Street and Cowbridge Road East. Please avoid the area if possible.”
The road had reopened by 5.30pm with traffic returning to normal. A spokesman for the force confirmed it had been a medical incident.
