Gwent Police is appealing for witnesses after the the two-vehicle collision on the B4254 at Gelligaer
Five people are in hospital, three in a serious condition, according to police, after a crash between two cars.
The crash happened on the B4254 at Gelligaer, Caerphilly county.
Police officers, the Welsh Ambulance Service, and fire crews were called after the collision between a red BMW sport coupe and a beige Jeep Avenger Summit.
The red BMW was believed to be heading west towards Nelson with the beige Jeep travelling in the opposite direction, a spokesman for Gwent Police said. Make sure you never miss Wales’ biggest updates by getting our daily newsletter.
Officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the accident which happened around 6.25pm on Thursday, April 23.
They want to hear from anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage or witnesses who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision.
