Glamorgan Voluntary Services seek new trustees across Vale

by David Jones

The organisation, which supports charities, volunteers, and community action across the Vale of Glamorgan, says trustees will play a key role in guiding the future of the voluntary sector.

Trustees will provide strategic leadership and help ensure organisations have the resources and support they need to deliver services.

GVS said: “Do you care about your community and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others?”

GVS is encouraging applications from people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of whether they have professional experience or lived experience.

The organisation is especially interested in hearing from people with expertise in sustainability, social justice, housing, commercial development, and digital innovation. It also welcomes applicants from under-represented groups, young people, and those considering their first trustee role.

GVS said: “Full support and induction will be provided. We are also hosting a relaxed information session that offers a friendly introduction to what being a GVS trustee involves.”

The online session will take place at 6pm on July 14. Anyone interested in attending can contact GVS via phone, email, or through its website.
