Good Friday supermarket opening hours at Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Aldi

Everyone will be stocking up this Easter for the traditional break. So it’s important to know when the supermarkets will be open – especially if you still haven’t got those eggs!

This bank holiday weekend, shoppers can expect major changes across supermarkets, including reduced working hours and shop closures on Easter Sunday. If you’re looking to do your weekly shop ahead of the special occasion, it’s advised that you check when your local store is open across Easter weekend to avoid disappointment.

We’ve compiled a list of the opening hours for Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Aldi among others, so you can decide to pick up your last minute dinner bits.

Tesco

Tesco stores across Wales will be operating at reduced hours. Usually they close at midnight, however they will be open from 6am to 10pm on Good Friday.

Tesco Express stores will operate from 6am to 11pm on the bank holiday. You can check your local store here.

Co-op

On Good Friday, Co-op will be open their usual hours of 7am to 10pm/ 11pm depending on the store. You can check here if you’re local store will be open.

Asda

Some Asda stores across Wales will be open 24 hours, although others will be open from 7am to 10pm on Good Friday. Although, you can check here when you’re local shop will be open.

Morrisons

Morrisons in Wales will be open their usual hours of 7am to 10pm. You can check when your local store is open here.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s stores across Wales will open at their usual hours of 7am to 10pm.You can check if your local store is open here. 7am to 10pm

Lidl

The majority of Lidl stores will be operating at their usual opening hours of 8am to 10pm. Although, it is recommended that shoppers double check their local store online just in case they differ.

Aldi

Most Aldi branches will be open at slightly reduced hours from 8am to 9pm on Good Friday, closing an hour earlier than normal. You can find the opening hours of your local store here.

M&S Food

Marks and Spencer’s opening hours differ across the UK, so shoppers are advised to check their nearest branch. You can find more information here.

Waitrose

On Good Friday, the few Waitrose stores across Wales will have extended opening hours from 8am to 8pm.

The stores located in service stations and Little Waitrose stores across the UK have different opening hours and will be open from 7am to 10pm. You can find the opening hours to your local store here.
