In court from Penarth, Sully, Dinas Powys, and Cogan

The defendants were accused of speeding, driving without insurance, and keeping untaxed vehicles.

Their cases were heard in the magistrates’ courts in Cardiff, Swansea, Sheffield and Bradford.

Here’s a round-up of the cases.

BRADLEY JONES, of Tennyson Road, Penarth, was charged with keeping an untaxed vehicle.

He was fined £220 at Bradford Magistrates’ Court, with an additional back duty of £86.25 and £85 in costs.

JACK HAMPTON, of Steep Holm Walk, Sully, was fined £220 for keeping an untaxed vehicle.

At Sheffield Magistrates’ Court, he was ordered to pay back duty of £5.84 and £85 in costs.

OSIAN GILBERT, of Pill Street, Cogan, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph limit.

The 29-year-old received a £146 fine at Swansea Magistrates’ Court, as well as three points on his licence. He was ordered to pay £120 in costs and a £58 victim surcharge.

ARCHIE JONES, of Pen-y-Turnpike Road, Dinas Powys, was fined £440 for keeping an untaxed vehicle.

At Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, he was ordered to pay back duty of £113.75 and £85 in costs.

SEBASTIAN GUY, 38, of John Batchelor Way, Penarth, was fined £660 at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court for using a vehicle without insurance.

He was also handed six penalty points on his licence and was ordered to pay a £264 victim surcharge.
