On Thursday, March 19, at St. Augustine’s Hall, Albert Road, Penarth Tree Forum will host its yearly gathering to which all are invited.
The event promises to deliver insights from two noteworthy speakers.
Cem Papaker, who returned to Penarth as a volunteer last summer, will recount his ongoing journey in a talk entitled “Back to my roots; reconnecting with Nature.”
He will also share updates on the Tree Forum’s recent activities and their cooperative efforts with various town community groups.
The second speaker, international tree expert Russell Horsey, will offer his perspective on human interactions with trees in the context of a changing climate.
Doors to the event will open at 6.30pm, with the talks kicking off at 7pm, followed by a Q&A session.
The event offers a chance for the community to recognise the role trees, and the individuals caring for them, play in the town.
Attendees are asked to register their attendance in advance. Though free to attend, any donations to aid the forum’s work are appreciated.
