Storm porch
A proposal has been lodged for a storm porch at 3 Ffordd Cwm Cidi, Barry.
The base walls are to be built using face brick to match the existing structure, while the door and window frames will be white uPVC, also in keeping with the current appearance.
The roof is planned as black EPDM rubber, finished with anthracite grey fascia, soffits, and guttering.
To support biodiversity, a bat box and sparrow terrace are also included in the application.
Outbuilding
A planning application has been made for a new outbuilding at The Dales on Little Brynhill Lane, Barry.
The structure is intended for ancillary use and will feature a gym, sauna, and pool.
Measuring 17.5 by 6.6 metres and standing 3.4 metres high, the outbuilding will be positioned 1.8 metres from the rear of the main house. It will be formed from stone with heritage style aluminium doors and windows which will match the existing house.
The proposal includes a sedum roof and two skylights.
