Discharge of planning condition

A request has been made to discharge Condition 4 of a planning permission for 42 Plymouth Road, Penarth. This relates to additional details.

The scheme involves converting a building from three flats back into a single Victorian residential property, like it was originally built.

It also includes the addition of a new two-storey extension on the footprint of a recently demolished structure.

Porch and extension

Plans have been lodged for works to 43 Castle Avenue, Penarth.

The existing clad cabin structure to the side of the house would be removed. It will be dismantled to make way for the proposed extensions, but the materials will be re-used.

A new front porch, two-storey gable end extension, and further single and two-storey rear extensions are proposed.

The ground flood would have a lounge, living room, snug, dining room, kitchen, office, utility and WC. There would be four bedrooms, two with en-suites, and a bathroom on the first floor.

New home

An application has been submitted to convert the Southern Motors vehicle workshop on Sully Place, Penarth, into a single dwelling.

The plan includes demolishing a 1970s addition to create a private courtyard, enclosed by existing historic walls.

The proposal is described as reducing environmental impact and disturbance compared to the current commercial use.

It would comprise a living room, store, WC, kitchen, and shower room on the ground floor.

The first floor would have one bedroom, a study, and a mezzanine.

Tree works

Permission is sought to remove part of a tree in the front garden of 10 Church Avenue, Penarth.

The application requests removal of the left side of the tree and pruning 25 per cent of the right side.

The tree is close to the street and has experienced breakage and rot.
