Access ramp
Plans have been submitted for the installation of a semi-permanent modular ramp at the front entrance of 35 Treharne Road.
The ramp will improve accessibility to the residential property.
The proposed structure will consist of modular galvanised steel ramp and platform frames in green, with composite plastic decking in beige.
The ramp will be installed in the front garden area, specifically on an existing hard-surfaced section, and will be supported by feet.
Planning documents state that the installation will have no impact on green infrastructure within or around the site, and that the works will result in a neutral overall impact on the environment.
The application was submitted by the Vale of Glamorgan Council.
Extension
A planning application has been submitted for a single-storey kitchen extension at 53 St Nicholas Road.
The work will include building on the existing boundary wall of the property and replacing an adjacent storage shed.
The proposed extension will also involve the demolition of the current conservatory.
The new kitchen roof will be constructed in a style to match the existing house roof and will feature three or four skylights.
Other design elements include a glass panel or door overlooking the main road and glass double doors opening onto the rear garden.
