Tree removal
An application to remove a lime tree at 4 Raisdale Gardens, Penarth, has been submitted.
The tree is located in a tree preservation order area.
No documents have been made available on the application to provide a reason for the removal, but an application was approved in 2016 for a reduction on the crown of a lime tree at the property.
Removal of trees
An application for work to trees covered by Tree Preservation Order No.3 1982 has been submitted to the council.
The application includes the removal of one horse chestnut and three lime trees at 5 Raisdale Gardens, Penarth.
No documents have been made available on the application to provide a reason for the removals.
In 2023, an application was made for work to trees covered by Tree Preservation Order 1982. No.3 – 1 x Horse Chestnut, 4 x Lime with the felling of the five trees requested for as soon as possible due to subsidence damage, but the council’s planning portal doesn’t give a decision.
In 2013, a crown reduction was approved and in 2001, two applications for the felling of trees were approved.
Demolition and extension
An application for the demolition of a lean to at the rear of the property and construction of a single-storey extension at 18 Salisbury Avenue, Penarth, has been submitted.
The applicant has included current and proposed elevation and floor plans and a revised location plan.
Extension
An application for a first-floor side extension over the existing single storey, garage conversion with partial first-floor extension over, and new full-height porch at 36 Smithies Avenue, Sully, has been submitted.
The property is a detached two-storey bedroom house with single storey side extension and attached garage.
There is a gravel driveway with small area of paving to the front and down the side of the house.
The rear is a mixture of grass, paved patio area, and garden beds and timber feather edge boarding to all rear boundaries.
The existing green areas will remain unaffected.
Proposals are to provide a new bat box and bird box to the rear of the extended property.
Non-material amendment
An application for a non-material amendment to the relocation of a detached garage for planning ref: 2023/01086/FUL at Red Roofs, 1 Cliff Parade, Penarth, has been submitted.
The applicant would like to move the detached garage to a different location on the site than was approved in the 2023 application, however, there is no documentation visible on the application to show any updates.
Tree reduction
An application for work to a tree in a conservation area has been submitted.
The application is for 1x Atlas Cedar located at the front of the property at The Lindens, 6 Bradford Place. The work would involve reducing heavily end-loaded branches by around two metres.
