Expenditure proposals
The Vale of Glamorgan Council invites non-domestic ratepayers to inspect expenditure proposals and to submit representations.
Section 65 of the Local Government Finance Act 1992 places a duty on the council to consult with non-domestic ratepayers about their proposals for expenditure each year.
A copy of the council’s expenditure proposals for 2026/27 may be inspected at the Corporate Resources Directorate, 2nd Floor, Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry, during normal office hours by contacting 01446 709152.
Comments are particularly invited from small non-domestic ratepayers.
Any comments on the expenditure proposals should be submitted to the Chief Executive in writing by 12noon on March 9, 2026.
Martin Thomas Stokes
A statutory notice has been issued regarding the estate of Martin Thomas Stokes, formerly of 115 Port Road East, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 9PX, who died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.
Anyone who believes they may have a claim against the estate, or an interest in it, is required to submit details in writing by Tuesday, April 29, 2026. After this date, the estate will be distributed, and only claims that have been formally received will be taken into account.

A similar notice has been published in respect of the estate of Edward O’Donnell, formerly of 8 Liscum Way, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, CF62 8AB, who died on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
Anyone with a potential claim or interest in the estate must provide written details by Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Once that deadline has passed, the estate will be distributed based only on the claims that have been received.
