Asti Rosé hit shelves nationwide yesterday (Thursday, July 30), priced at just £4.99.
It arrives just in time for picnics, BBQs, and garden parties.
Richard Bampfield, Lidl’s Master of Wine, said: “Asti has been unfairly overlooked as wine trends have shifted towards drier styles but it’s a vibrant, versatile sparkling wine that deserves to be rediscovered with this Asti Rose set to be one of the summer’s standout sparkling wines.
“It’s wonderfully aromatic, delightfully moreish and the perfect partner for light summer dishes with the delicate sweetness of the wine, gentle bubbles and low alcohol keeping the mood light and refreshing.”
The Italian sparkling wine, crafted from Moscato Bianco grapes in Piemonte, offers a lightly sweet, aromatic alternative to more traditional bubbles.
With notes of juicy red berries and delicate florals, Asti Rosé promises to “rosé the bar” for summer sipping.
Lidl adds: “As shoppers look beyond the usual bubbles this summer, Asti Rosé delivers freshness, fruit and versatility in every sip – proving the classic style deserves a moment in the sun.”
Lidl releases number of kitchen-based Middle Aisle items
Alongside the new wine, Lidl has released a number of kitchen gadgets as part of its Middle Aisle in recent weeks.
This includes the SilverCrest Slow Juicer, which is designed to preserve nutrients while delivering extra high yield, boasting a convenient self-feeding function and “juicy value for shoppers”.
Features include a pulp collector, a reverse function for quick unclogging and a powerful motor to process hard vegetables.

Lidl also released its own Premium Freezy Ice Cream Maker, which features seven preset programmes, including options for ice cream and gelato.

It is described as “compact, easy to clean and designed for everyday cooking” by the supermarket.
