A number of major road closures are in place in Wales today, Saturday, March 7. Drivers are being advised to plan journeys carefully, allow extra time, and check local diversion routes. There is a major closure on the M48 Severn Bridge to allow roadworks to be completed, with delays expected in the area. Other routes have temporary traffic lights or have been shut completely for work to be carried out. Here are all the road closures you need to know about:
M48 Severn Bridge Westbound closed: Delays expected due to weekend roadworks until the early hours of Monday morning between J1 A403 (Aust) and J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow). Diversion – M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
M4 Bridgend One lane closed due to roadworks on M4 Westbound from J36 A4061 (Bridgend / Sarn Service Area) to J37 A4229 (Pyle / Porthcawl). Until March 12.
A55 Flintshire A55 Eastbound closed due to roadworks from J34 A494 (Ewloe) to J35 A550 (Dobbs Hill). Between 10.38am and 11.59pm on Saturdays and Sundays until March 21.
A484 Cwmduad, Carmarthenshire A484 in both directions closed due to roadworks between Heol Y Bwt and the Cwmpengraig turn off. Until March 16.
