Trains between Wales and London Paddington faced major disruption after a fire broke out
A fire on the line-side at Severn Tunnel Junction has blocked part of the railway
Great Western Railway (GWR) services between Carmarthen, Swansea, Cardiff Central and London Paddington, as well as Cardiff to Exeter, Taunton, Portsmouth Harbour and Penzance, are experiencing disruption.
Passengers are being warned of delays of up to 6o minutes with trains also cancelled or revised.
In a statement National Rail said: “A fire next to the track at Severn Tunnel Junction means some lines are blocked.
Trains running between Newport (South Wales) and Bristol Parkway / Bristol Temple Meads may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
