A fire has caused delays between London Paddington and South Wales
Trains between Wales and London Paddington faced major disruption after a fire broke out
- A fire on the line-side at Severn Tunnel Junction has blocked part of the railway
- Great Western Railway (GWR) services between Carmarthen, Swansea, Cardiff Central and London Paddington, as well as Cardiff to Exeter, Taunton, Portsmouth Harbour and Penzance, are experiencing disruption.
- Passengers are being warned of delays of up to 6o minutes with trains also cancelled or revised.
- In a statement National Rail said: “A fire next to the track at Severn Tunnel Junction means some lines are blocked.
- Trains running between Newport (South Wales) and Bristol Parkway / Bristol Temple Meads may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, cancelled or revised.
- Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
